How to Protect Yourself From the Cost of Cancer?

By
What is cancer insurance? Is it really necessary or is this insurance guy trying to sell me another gimmick to make money? The answer is quite simple. Cancer insurance pays you if you get cancer. It is not a major medical policy, but it does help to cover the out-of-pocket expenses like deductibles and/or coinsurance. As far as the second question goes, there are some people that do not need cancer insurance.
YOU DON'T NEED CANCER INSURANCE IF:
  • you can afford the $4,000-$7,000 for chemotherapy.
  • you have an extra $1,500-$10,000 to cover your medical deductible.
  • you can fly your relatives & loved ones to see you in the hospital
  • you can afford the high cost of alternative medicine
  • you can pay for anti-nausea medication and follow-up treatment
If you fit into any of these categories please, please, please don't waste your time or money on cancer insurance. For everyone else... well it wouldn't hurt to look. The policies are relatively inexpensive and easier to qualify for than other types of insurance. Many of them offer a return of premium if you are never diagnosed with cancer. Rather than speak on cancer statistics, or ask if you have had a past family history of this disease, I'm just going to drop a few names that you may be familiar with. They all had cancer and many of them survived. Do not think you are exempt.
